After seven days, the 4G network was shut down again. 4G service was stopped after 12:00 noon on Sunday on the orders of a government agency.
Mobile internet cannot be used when 4G is off. Then you can only talk through 2-G. There are more than 12 crore mobile internet users in the country.
Mobile operators were told by a government agency today that the 4G network will remain closed until further notice.


Mobile internet and broadband internet were stopped from the night of July 17 and July 18 due to clashes centered on the quota reform movement.


After five days on July 23, broadband internet connection returned to a limited extent. And after 10 days, mobile internet was launched on July 28. But the platforms Facebook, Messenger, WhatsApp and Instagram were closed. Apart from this, Tiktok is also closed. On the other hand, while YouTube was running on broadband connection, it was off on mobile data.



Social media including Facebook was launched in Bangladesh from 2 pm on July 31. However, after 12.30 pm last Friday, the cache of Metar platforms on the mobile network was stopped. Along with this network Telegram is also closed. It was reopened after five and a half hours that day.


The anti-discrimination student movement has called for an all-out non-cooperation movement from today with a one-point demand for the resignation of the government. Clashes occurred in different parts of the country including the capital Dhaka in this movement. Two people were killed in the clash in Munshiganj. In this situation, mobile internet has been ordered to stop.
